Encrypted in Transit
All client-server communications use standard HTTPS/TLS cryptographic protocols.
No Data Brokerage
We do not share or sell personal information to third-party ad networks or data brokers.
User Data Deletion
Full self-service data and account deletion available directly within the mobile application.
Data Collection Disclosures
Borrow collects information strictly required to maintain community accountability and enable peer exchanges:
- Personal Info: Name and email address for account identification and authentication.
- Photos & Listings: User-submitted photos of items for community browsing and condition transparency.
- App Activity: Interaction timestamps (handover confirmation, return status) to verify active loan cycles.
Device Permissions
- Camera & Storage: Used optionally to capture and upload item photos when creating a new listing.
- Network Access: Required to communicate with Borrow servers and sync active community listings.
