Borrow collects minimal information strictly necessary to facilitate safe, peer-to-peer item sharing within local communities:
- Account Information: Name, verified email address, and optional profile photo.
- Listing Data: Item photos, titles, descriptions, category classifications, and condition notes.
- Lending Records: Start and return dates, handover confirmation status, and exchange completion timestamps.
- No Continuous GPS: Borrow does not continuously track your real-time GPS location in the background.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your information exclusively to:
- Facilitate the discovery and coordination of shared items between peers.
- Power the in-app Borrow AI Assistant for query suggestions.
- Ensure community safety, resolve reported disputes, and enforce listing guidelines.
- Authenticate users and protect account security.
4. Storage & Account Deletion
You have full control over your data. You can delete your account and associated listings directly within the app via Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
Upon account deletion, all active listings and personal profile data are permanently purged from active systems.
5. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to access, rectify, export, or delete your personal data. You may exercise these rights directly within app settings or via our support team.
